Afternoon Listening

2.27.2006

Just a quick note to all of you, the excellent Sean Moncrief is away this week and his replacement is none other than Senator David Norris. I encourage all of you to listen it, its compulsive radio. You can listen online here.

So far its the most dramatic intonation Ive heard on radio for ages.

I am in absolute fits laughing - he's fanTAStic. Thanks for this!!!!

Norris is a gem, he is absolutely mad, entertaining, articulate and intelligent which is why we need more of him in politics.
    Its brakeneck radio!!

He is indeed absolutely fantastic in terms of entertainment, perhaps not completely so in terms of politics. Regardless, I think Terry Dolan is remarkable too, his book is one of those which I would doubtlessly buy if I saw it in one of my impulse book shopping bonanzas. The two suit each other quite well on radio, and presumably at some well-dressed dinner-party.

Oh if its full of academics then perhaps not so well dressed (er sorry fiona i reckon you proably dress much better) ;)

Yeah his trouser ripping in yesterdays riots business was hilarious.

The guy is a gem, cultural intellectual gem. He deserves more exposure than he already gets, perhaps a cosby-style sitcom, on second thoughts perhaps not.
